Sad, especially if you are inclined to 'help' people...

While driving on a rural end of the roadway on Thursday morning, I saw an infant car seat on the side of the road with a blanket draped over it. For whatever reason, I did not stop, even though I had all kinds of thoughts running through my head. But when I got to my destination, I called the Police and they were going to check it out. But, this is what the Police advised even before they went out there to check....

"There are several things to be aware of ... gangs and thieves are now plotting different ways to get a person (mostly women)to stop their vehicle and get out of the car.

"There is a gang initiation reported by the local Police where gangs are placing a car seat by the road...with a fake baby in
it...waiting for a woman, of course, to stop and check on the abandoned baby.

"Note that the location of this car seat is usually beside a wooded or grassy (field) area and the person -- woman -- will be dragged into the woods, beaten and raped, and usually left for dead. If it's a man, they're usually beaten and robbed and maybe left for dead, too.

DO NOT STOP FOR ANY REASON!!!

DIAL 9-9-9......OR 911 if in AMERICA, i don't know what the EMERGENCY numbers are in SPAIN

AND REPORT WHAT YOU SAW, BUT DON'T EVEN SLOW DOWN.

How's this for common sense?

Let's put pensioners in jail and the criminals in a nursing home.

This way the pensioners would have access to showers, hobbies and walks. They'd get unlimited free prescriptions, dental and medical treatment, wheelchairs etc., and they'd receive money instead of paying it out.

They would have constant video monitoring, so they could be helped instantly if they fell or needed assistance.

Bedding would be washed twice a week, and all clothing would be ironed and returned to them. A guard would check on them every 20 minutes and bring their meals and snacks to their cell.

They would have family visits in a suite built for that purpose.

They would have access to a library, weight room, spiritual counselling, pool and education. Simple clothing, shoes, slippers, PJ's and legal aid would be free on request. Private, secure rooms for all, with an exercise outdoor yard and gardens.

Each senior could have a PC, a TV, radio and daily phone calls.

There would be a board of directors to hear complaints, and the guards would have a code of conduct that would be strictly adhered to.

On the other hand the "criminals" would get cold food, and be left alone and unsupervised. The lights would be turned off at 8pm, and they'd have a shower once a week.

They'd live in a tiny room and pay £900 a month for the privilege.

They'd have no hope of ever getting out.

Justice I'd say.

Then there's those pesky illegal immigrants. Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Bourne three years previously, right to the stall where she slept in the county of Lincolnshire?

And they even tracked her calves to their individual stalls.

But they are unable to locate the millions of illegal immigrants wandering around our country. I reckon that every immigrant to the UK should therefore be given their own cow.

Ended up at Pizza Hut ..As thats our regular dinner stop off , being a good weekly customer from April through to September when they then shut for winter time..

I arrive its around 6pm and the place is empty ..

I see the nicer new table and chairs empty and proceed to sit down .. Now remember the place is empty NOT any other customers in the place..

here is pic of the initial selected Table and chairs set up for 5 people ..


As i sit down the tall black waiter comes over and says NO NO NO thats for 5 people .. so i say well its better location and more comfy seats ..
He say NO NO NO , Mrs BP like the shrinking violet says oh lets sit on the 2 seater . I say dont be stupid the place is empty this guys taking the pee !!

If i want to sit here i should be able to .. The Blacky says well you can use the chairs and sit there ,pointing at the 3 seater table behind .
So i grab the best chair shuffle the old ones out the way and with Mrs BP saying the usual ohh you have to make a fuss dont you , we should sit on the 2 seater table he has all the tables set up ..

Here is the now chosen table which we ended up with ..



Basically a stones throw from the better 5 seater one , only now the new seater set up has the old manky seat in its place and the chairs all out of synch ..

I turned to Blacky and said whats your problem the place is empty ?? Its not like i am blocking anyone FFS ...
Blacky then sensing i am not a happy man and probably remembering i am regular and always tip well !!! Says ohh ok you can sit there , i said nope i shall sit here now . principle ...

He then dissapears and then goes away and we then get a new waiter .. .. me and Mrs BP then spend the next 1/2 hour discussing my How i think i can run everything and why i should just let them stick me on a tiny old table and be grateful

During the meal only 1 group of 4 come in and they selected a table for 4 BUT !! They changed 2 seats as they also found the older seats nasty and uncomfortable..

So who was right ?

me ?
Blacky (sell you a watch for a tenner ) ?
Or Mrs BP ( dont want any trouble sheep follower ) ?

By the way the meal was fine i checked for spit and stuff .. and left them 5 cents tip (approx 4p) and a mess on the floor
